I was significantly involved in the development of the AR city tour. I played a crucial role in the design and programming of the framework, as well as in the development and compilation of the content. I also contributed to project management, communication with the team and customers, and the implementation of the last customer requests. My contribution was essential to the successful launch of the AR city tour, which promises to be an exciting addition to the Old Town Tour experience.
Düsseldorf Tourism has launched an Augmented Reality (AR) guided city tour to enhance visitors' experience of the Old Town. Participants are given tablets that display appropriate content throughout the tour, including photos, 3D models, 360-degree videos, and virtual figures which blend into the real cityscape. The tour was developed in collaboration with Düsseldorf Tourism and lasts 1.5 hours, with English tours available on Saturdays. The tour launched on April 1, 2023, and will run from Wednesdays to Sundays.
